Now, according to the border railway agreement of neighboring countries, 14 trains are delivered to China every day through the broad gauge of Zamyn Uud Erlian Station. However, in order to meet the needs of export orders, the daily transfer times of trains need to be increased to 20. However, according to the border railway agreement, Erlian Station cannot receive more than 14 trains.

When the leader of Ulaanbaatar Railway Group met with the leaders of Chinese railway department at the beginning of the year, he put forward suggestions on the main problems hindering export transportation and increased the capacity of the second connected station. In this regard, China said that it would increase the capacity of Erlian stations and the railway transport capacity between Erlian and Jining this year. In addition, within the framework of this work, our Chinese friends began to increase the number of wide gauge and standard gauge railways receiving and departing from Erlian Station this summer, install train receiving signal equipment for selective railways, and build new railways.

In addition, 5 intersections are added between Erlian and Jining. It can be seen that the export and transit transport of Ulaanbaatar Railway will be increased, which will have a positive impact on the national economy and usher in a good opportunity to realize the real revival of ports in the technical level. At present, we are facing the need to increase the number of train transfers formally agreed with the railway departments of neighboring countries.

Therefore, Mongolia submitted a proposal on increasing the number of daily train transfers at Zamyn Uud Erlian Station to 20 for the China Russia Mongolia border talks held on November 22. If all parties involved in the meeting reach an agreement on the transfer of 20 trains, Mongolia will need to strengthen the technical capacity of locomotives, wagons and other vehicles.
